Rewarewa honey is a delicious, stronger-flavoured honey that is unique to New Zealand.  Thats because the honey comes from the Rewarewa tree, (also known as the New Zealand honeysuckle tree.

Its striking red flowers enable the bees to collect a nectar that makes for a darker coloured, more flavoursome honey.
Presented in Arataki's typical creamy style, this honey will be great not just for eating by itself, but also in cooking, and baking.
Arataki is, of course, one of New Zealands' best loved honey producers.
The company has its headquarters in the mid-west of New Zealand's north island, at Havelock North, near Hastings in the Hawkes Bay region. 
It has been home to the Arataki honey company since 1944, and produces a range of high-quality honey products.
Today, Arataki is one of the very few honey companies packaging their honey in a fully recyclable and environmentally friendly, waxed paperboard tub.
Once you've finished the honey and washed out the tub, it can be recycled through any domestic Australian kerb-side recycling scheme.
