Raw redgum honey
Red gum honey is a lovely, sweet native Australian eucalyptus honey.
So this is a honey suitable for all traditional honey uses and sure to be loved by all the family.
The kids will like it on their cereal or sandwiches, grandparents in their tea or coffee, and mum and dad when they cook up a storm in the kitchen.
Honey bees made this lovely honey from the nectar of the redgum trees growing on the banks of the Yanko Creek in the Southern riverina region of New South Wales.*
It has a delightful fragrance said to remind of "the smell of breaking rain".
Raw honey
This is raw honey, because it has been extracted cold, and bottled without any heating or processing.
So it still contains pollen, bees wax and other goodies that are normally filtered out in supermarket honey.
This means the honey retains all the goodness, flavour and vitality the bees originally made it with.
Texture Note
Please note that like all raw honeys, this honey crystallizes quite readily. But the crystals are typically very small. So the honey remains soft and easy to spread even after it has crystallized.
This 500gms honey package is bottled in a recyclable glass jar with a metal screw on lid.
*(The latin name for these red gum trees is Eucalyptus Camaldulensis)
